Water is more important than food or vitamin supplements. You can go days without them, but you can’t survive long without water!

WHY DO I NEED PURE DRINKING WATER?

It is important to realize that our body does not need liquids; it needs water! Water lubricates tissues, flushes water and toxins, hydrates the skin, and transports minerals, vitamins, proteins and sugars around the body for assimilation. The water you drink is important for: digestion, detoxification, elimination, metabolism, circulation, temperature regulation and joint lubrication.

WHAT IF I DON’T DRINK THE RECOMMENDED DAILY INTAKE?

Many of you are chronically dehydrated, and that slows the metabolic rate, and delays excretion of waste. When you feel sluggish, tired,

and with no energy, think about your daily water intake. Never wait until you have a dry mouth or feel thirsty. By this time you are already  dehydrated. Drink water between your meals and sip on water throughout the day.

Even MILD dehydration will slow down one’s metabolism as much as 3% (making you gain weight and have less energy). It reduces short-

term memory and is the root cause of many diseases associated with aging (e.g. arthritis, G.I. disorders, senile dementia). Dehydration causes heartburn, arthritis, headaches and migraines, high blood pressure, angina, asthma, and adult-onset diabetes.

Coffee or soft drinks don’t count as part of our liquid intake. Because of the caffeine in coffee and most soft drinks, you need to consume at least the same amount of water just to break even. Don't depend on fruit juice - its high sugar content can dehydrate you just like soft drinks!

HOW MUCH WATER DO I NEED?

The body loses 2.5L of water every day just through  normal bodily functions. Recommended is approximately ten glasses of reverse osmosis water every day. The amount depends on climate, stress, exercise and the amount of cooked food that you are eating daily.

ISN’T ALL WATER THE SAME?

TAP WATER: Super cheap. Public water systems, although filtered, are chlorinated and can become contaminated. Tap water may contain parasites, chemicals, hormones and traces of prescription drugs.

WELL WATER: Many rural homes use a well for their general water supply. Most well water requires processing to remove contaminants from the six basic classifications.   Raw well water can range from safe to drink to deadly poisonous; therefore, it must be filtered and tested regularly.

MINERAL WATER: Contains over   500 parts per million of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) of inorganic particles such as iron, copper, calcium, magnesium and sulphate, to name a few. It is usually bottled at the water source and may not be filtered or processed
for bacterial removal.

SPRING WATER: Must have an inorganic mineral count less than 500 parts per million of Total Dissolved Solids. It might not be as clean and fresh as the label says. Just like tap water, spring water may not be processed to remove organics, inorganics, micro-bacterias, pesticides and herbicides.

DISTILLED WATER: Produced by boiling water and condensing the steam leaving behind the heavier contaminants that boil at less or close to the same temperature as water must then be removed from the condensed water by some other filtration method usually an activated carbon based filter.

REVERSE OSMOSIS: The International Bottled Water Association defines “Pure Water” as having less than 10 parts per million of TDS and as being virtually free of detectable levels of all 6 classifications of water contaminants. It’s pure tasting, safe and healthy for your body. These processes take absolutely everything out of water. The end result: 100% pure H2O.

BUT DON’T I NEED MINERALS IN THE WATER?

There are two kinds of chemicals, inorganic and organic.

The inorganic chemicals like chlorine, alum and sodium fluoride cannot be utilized in a healthy way by the living tissues of the body and can only cause harm! When you drink inorganic water your vital organs are not strong enough to flush those inorganic minerals out of the body, and as a result deposit themselves in your joints. Our body is composed of 19 organic minerals, which must come from a living source or one that was once alive.

The body does need minerals, but only organic minerals can be used by the body! There is not one mineral in water which cannot be found more abundantly in food! Water is the most unreliable source of minerals because it varies from one area to another. The food we eat - not the water we drink - is our best reliable source of organic minerals!

WHAT IS ALKALINE WATER?

Over time our body becomes acidic: from diet, lifestyle, stress, indigestion and metabolism of food. Acid wastes build up in the body in the form of cholesterol, gallstones, kidney stones, arterial plaque, phosphates and sulfates. These acidic waste products are the direct cause of premature aging and the onset of chronic disease.

Acidic foods include: coffee, alcohol, soft drinks, refined foods and sugar.

Alkaline water can: effectively neutralize acids in the blood and tissues. The water function as a potent anti-oxidant to scavenge free radicals and to neutralize toxic substances in the blood. It replenishes essential minerals stabilizing and protecting cells.
