Lemon water has a lot of good benefits going for it. But did you know that you can also balance your pH with lemon water?

The pH scale range is from 0-14, 7 being neutral, under 7 acidic and over 7 alkaline. The optimum pH level for your body is 7.2 – 7.4.

Ensuring that your ph levels are balanced is quite important as disease thrives in an acidic environment. If you are feeling joint pain, brain fog, fatigue, headaches or suffering from acid reflux, indigestion and reduced bone density, these could be symptoms that your body is too acidic. Eating alkaline rich foods such as certain vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds can really help. Reducing stress can also change your pH levels in your body.

Balance your pH with lemon water

One easy way to balance your pH levels is to drink fresh lemon water. You can drink it daily, first thing in the morning upon awakening. Just squeeze half of a fresh organic lemon at room temperature, hot or warm water. Enjoy this hydrating drink and then wait 30 minutes before you eat or drink anything else.

To protect your tooth enamel, drink the lemon water through a straw or rinse your mouth with plain water immediately after drinking the lemon water.

Lemons are an acidic citrus fruit but become alkaline once ingested. They’re packed full of nutrients that support your immune system, detoxify your body and gently cleanse the liver.

There are a number of benefits to drinking lemon water which includes hydrating and energizing your body when you wake up. But it also helps to keep you regular, acting as a natural laxative. It can also promote weight loss and leave you with healthy glowing skin with a dose of vitamin C!

Take the challenge to improve your health!
